UpscaleDown SouthVarnedoe’s Restaurant opened in the winter of 2005, an elegant yet casual fine dining restaurant showcasing the culinary expertise of award winning New Orleans chef, Scott Varnedoe. The building itself is historic, having once been the of The Myrtles Plantation, circa 1796. The menu is Upscale Down South pairing typical Southern fare such as fried green tomatoes and collard greens with opulent dishes like pork osso bucco. Chef Varnedoe’s menu draws heavily on his Southern roots while still incorporating Asian and French influences. Only the freshest of ingredients are used – most of them local. Every customer, regardless of age or food preference, will have something to rave about at Varnedoe’s .
